Account Linking in the new Catalog
One username, one login, one profile!
Which Situation Applies to You?
I Have a Johnson County or Olathe Public Library Card and a Registered Username in One of their Catalogs
If you already have a registered username in the Johnson County or Olathe catalogs, you can use that same login for your KCPL and Mid-Continent library cards. There are two ways to do this:
- Visit this page in the Johnson County catalog to link your Kansas City card.
- Register here and enter the same email address you use for your JCL/OPL account after logging in. The catalog will walk you through the steps.
I Have a Johnson County or Olathe Library Card but Have Never Registered on their Catalog
Simply register your username here, and follow the steps below for 'Linking a Card After You Have Already Registered a Username at KCPL'
I Have a Mid-Continent Library Library Card
Linking Mid-Continent cards is not available until early 2017
Linking a Card After You Have Already Registered a username at KCPL
NOTE: This will not work if you already registered a separate username at the other library
Navigate to My Settings—My Library cards
- Click the ‘Link a Library Card’ button
- Select the library you want to link a card from and enter the barcode and PIN, and then ‘Link the card’
