You have read and perhaps even re-read the Charles Portis modern masterpiece. Now watch this compelling film adaptation—Paramount Pictures’ tenacious True Grit (2010), starring Jeff Bridges, Hailee Steinfeld, and Matt Damon and filmed in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Join Big Read discussion facilitator Kaite Stover for a lively conversation comparing the written word to its cinematic interpretation. Participants are encouraged (but not required) to read Portis’ novel prior to attending the film screening.
