Oliver Clark, Branch Manager
- Manages branch personnel and library volunteers; interviews, selects, trains, schedules, develops and evaluates branch staff; organizes, assigns and reviews work; conveys information to branch staff and staff concerns to management.
- Manages and provides delivery of library services including reference, information, readers advisory, and use of electronic resources; maintains adequate staffing levels within budgetary limits; evaluates effectiveness of services offered; sets standards in accordance with library policy and best practices; provides leadership to staff.
- Works with the general public, groups and other organizations in the branch service area and other library staff to build effective working relationships; establishes beneficial public relations for branch and library system.
- Serves on various committees and task forces.
- Responsible for adult services including related programming and library instruction.
- Develops and maintains appropriate materials collection within budgetary limits: ascertains needs of community served; reads reviews; makes sound selection decisions; weeds, updates and replaces materials.
- Responsible for development of branch budget requests, planning initiatives and regular reports of branch activities.
- Responsible for cash reports, payroll and other office tasks.
- Responsible for branch promotional materials and displays.
- Assures proper maintenance of building and grounds. Initiates timely and appropriate repair orders and requests for equipment purchases for branch.
- Keeps abreast of current trends and developments in profession.
- Performs other related work and undertakes special projects as assigned.

Mary Olive Thompson, Youth Services / Children’s Librarian/Assistant Branch Manager
- Provides reference, information, readers advisory and ILL services: answers ready and in-depth reference questions; provides library instruction; recommends and retrieves materials in support of customer requests; promotes and accepts requests for materials in circulation or located elsewhere in system.
- Maintains effective, courteous working relationships with all library customers.
- Provides and promotes YA/Children's programming: develops branch YA/Children's programs; support system-wide children's program; plans and presents special children's programs; conducts school visits; plans and executes displays; generates publicity for programs; attends YA/Children's services meetings.
- Develops and maintains appropriate YA/Children's collections with budgetary limits: ascertains needs of library customers; administers YA/Children's book budget; reads reviews; makes sound selection decisions; writes, reviews; weeds, updates and replaces materials.
- Provides basic circulation and registration services: checks materials in and out; issues library cards; collects fines and deposits; explains circulation policies and procedures.
- In absence of Branch Manager, maintains adequate staffing, assures provision of services and resolves problems.
- Keeps abreast of current trends and developments in profession.
- Performs other related work and undertakes special projects as assigned.

- Provides basic circulation and registration services to assure customers ready access to library materials: Issues library cards; collects fines and charges; updates customer records in the computer; verbally explains circulation policies and procedures; makes other computer inquiries; and processes customer requests for reserve items.
- Maintains effective courteous working relationships with all library customers and staff.
- Answers telephone and directs calls to the appropriate staff person.
- Assists customers with computer related issues, as well as with the maintenance of public computers.
- Lifts, routes and shelves materials, which may weigh up to 10 pounds from book bins and shelves.
- Processes customers' request material; prepares and sends Interlibrary Loan requests; Faxes document delivery requests to Main.
- In charge of Teen Gaming. Liaison person with IT department.
- Performs other related work and undertakes special projects as assigned.
