Inspirations

Kansas City has a legacy of entrepreneurs who are also civic leaders and philanthropists. To learn more, read about the staircase of entrepreneurs. The names of these entrepreneurs, who were chosen based on the results of a community survey, are engraved on the steps leading to the H&R Block Business & Career Center.

Other prominent entrepreneurs are described on the Wall of Honor. For more information about Kansas City history, visit KCHistory.org or come to the Missouri Valley Special Collections Local History and Genealogy on the fifth floor of the Central Library, 14 W. 10th Street.
