The Block Center offers information to help you manage your finances to achieve your financial goals. The Center offers a collection of books focusing on budgeting, credit, investing, real estate, identity theft, and other important financial topics. Financial Education Workshops

In partnership with the Women's Employment Network, the Library is pleased to offer our Money Matters financial education workshops! The workshop slides (in English, Spanish, and Somali) are below. We will resume these workshops (which will be taught in English) this spring, so check this page for dates, times, locations, and topics. These workshops are made possible by a grant from the FINRA Investor Education Foundation through Smart Investing​@​Your Library, a partnership with the American Library Association.

Money Matters booklet

The Money Matters booklet (soon to be available in Spanish and Somali) is another great way to learn about banking, budgeting, credit, identity theft, and payday loans. Print copies of this booklet are available at all Kansas City Public Library locations, Kansas City area Financial Opportunity Centers, and other local service providers.
