Fundraising goal: $250,000
Branch Renovation
Built in the late 1980s just after the Library separated from the Kansas City (MO) School District, five of our neighborhood branches are overdue for technology and design upgrades. First in line is the Lucile H. Bluford Branch at 3050 Prospect. Plans for renovation advance strategic goals for championing the joy of reading and lifelong learning:

Bluford Branch
- Creating distinct and engaging spaces for young children, for teens and for adult patrons
- Expanding access to technology by tripling the number of public use computers and laptops
- Reflecting the vision of Library as center of knowledge and community through special interest collections and enhanced meeting and event spaces
Fundraising goal: $600,000 in private donations
