Nosotras: Portraits of Latinas, a collection of 50 photographs documenting the lives and culture of Latina immigrants in the United States, is on display. Nosotras, Spanish for the feminine "us" or "we," was organized by Virginia Dodier, a photography historian and a Mexican-American born on the border and raised in the American West. She, like many other Hispanic women and girls, has experienced the feeling of living in two worlds. Start: 10:30 am

Local storyteller Brother John performs Songs of the Black Pioneers, a tribute to African American trailblazers such as Dr. Mae Jemison, the first black woman to fly on a space shuttle, and Bass Reeves, the first black U.S. Marshal.
