Celebrate Kansas City’s All-Star summer with this new exhibit exploring our local baseball heritage.

It’s a story that takes us from the company-sponsored baseball of the post-Civil War era and through the rise of professional teams like the Blues of the American Association and the Monarchs of the Negro leagues. Kansas City emerged as a “major league” town with the arrival of the Athletics in the 1950s.

Today the Royals continue the colorful tradition of our town’s love affair with the “national pastime.”
