The award-winning Up-To-Date with Steve Kraske program on KCUR 89.3 FM will broadcast a live mayoral debate featuring candidates Mike Burke and Sly James on Monday, March 21, 2011, at 11 a.m. at the Plaza Branch. The debate will be held just one day before Kansas City, Missouri voters determine which candidate will become the city’s third mayor in the 21st Century. Steve Kraske, the show’s host and a political columnist for The Kansas City Star, will guide the debate and ask the candidates their thoughts and opinions on topics critical to the success of Kansas City’s future. Admission to Up-To-Date with Steve Kraske is free. Major funding for programs at the Kansas City Public Library is provided by a generous grant from the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation.
