The vampire Dracula is one of the most immediately recognized characters in fiction, one of the movies’ most popular figures, and the object of a current TV series. But who knew he could dance?

Choreographer Michael Pink and Kansas City Ballet artistic director Devon Carney hold a public conversation about the company’s Dracula, which brings Bram Stoker’s famous vampire tale to the world of dance. The production plays February 21 through March 2 at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts.

Pink is artistic director of the Milwaukee Ballet.

Carney was named to head the Kansas City Ballet in May 2013.
