Eth-Noh-Tec presents Asian Treasure Bag
Saturday, October 18, 2008
4:00pm @ Central Library

Throughout the fall, the Central Library is celebrating its new Children’s Library with a diverse lineup of free programs that will capture the imagination of children and adults alike. On Saturday, October 18, at 2 p.m. the fun continues with Eth-Noh-Tec as it presents Asian Treasure Bag. The Central Library is located at 14 W. 10th St.

Together since 1982, Nancy Wang and Robert Kikuchi-Yngojo of Eth-Noh-Tec have performed stories for adults and children nationally and internationally. Nancy and Robert weave music, dance, rhythmic dialogue, lively facial expressions, and the spoken word to inspire the imagination and bring their stories alive. Their highly stylized and lyrical movement is often accompanied by musical instruments such as Japanese taiko drums, voice, and the ditze and shakuhachi bamboo flutes of Asia.

Eth-Noh-Tec works to bridge cultural gaps while addressing a worldwide humanity that is important to us all. Its stories originate from countries throughout Asia, including China, Tibet, Japan, Cambodia, and the Philippines.

Admission is free. RSVP here or call 816.701.3407 to indicate your interest in attending. Free parking is available in the Library District Parking Garage at 10th and Baltimore.
