Thrillers for Teens

The Kansas City Public Library hosts Faye and Aliza Kellerman for a discussion of their novel Prism on Monday, June 29, at 6:30 p.m. at the Plaza Branch, 4801 Main St.

This young adult novel follows three teenagers who find themselves plunged into an alternate past, where medicine and health care do not exist and people expire in the streets. Prism depicts a sobering picture of modern American society when people turn their backs on one another.

The 16-year-old daughter of bestselling author Faye Kellerman, Aliza Kellerman lends an authentic voice to the characters and dialogue throughout Prism. With more than 20 million novels in print internationally, Faye Kellerman is best known for her acclaimed Peter Decker and Rita Lazarus series, beginning in 1986 with Ritual Bath. Prism is their first collaboration.

This event is co-sponsored by Rainy Day Books. Copies of Prism will be available for sale, and the authors will sign copies during the event.

Admission is free. Click here or call 816.701.3407 to RSVP.
