The Kansas City Public Library and Truman Medical Centers offer comprehensive activities and workshops during a health fair from Noon – 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 19, 2013, at the Lucile H. Bluford Branch, 3050 Prospect Ave.

During the fair, Cleveland Chiropractic College provides health assessments and Truman Medical Centers offer free cholesterol and blood glucose screenings. The fair also serves as a platform to kickoff Get To Goal KC, a partnership between Truman Medical Centers and the American Heart Association focusing on overall wellness and health management. Get To Goal utilizes an online tool, Heart 360, to help patrons achieve cardiovascular

health while managing hypertension. Patrons check and record their blood pressure twice per month by using the machine at the Bluford Branch, and the Health & Wellness computers, to log the readings. Incentives will be offered monthly for logging the readings and attending programs.
