Inspired to capture the faces and flavor of contemporary Kansas City jazz, Pulitzer prize-winner Dan White spent 20 years photographing area musicians and vocalists.
The Fine Art of Jazz, an exhibit of 50 black-and-white portraits of Kansas City jazz greats, is the result of his commitment to their unique style of music.
The Fine Art of Jazz is a program of ExhibitsUSA, a national division of Mid-America Arts Alliance with the Missouri Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts.
