Award-winning photographers are recognized at this event marking the grand opening of the Green Exposures Exhibit, a collection of photographs shot in Kansas City’s parks and featuring among others Nikita the polar bear, ethnic dancers, Gillham Park shrouded in mist, and the Pioneer Mother. Co-sponsored by Kansas City Parks and Recreation Department, the exhibit is the result of a year-long contest. Categories include: landmarks, monuments and fountains; activities and events; as well as nature and wildlife. The exhibit is on display until January 2, 2012.
