Starting in January and continuing through April, the Kansas City Public Library presents Let’s Talk About It: Muslim Journeys, a book discussion series that explores daily life in the modern Islamic world.

The first program in the series takes place on January 21 and focuses on Hisham Matar’s novel In the Country of Men.


Other book discussions in the series (all of which take place at the Waldo Branch) include:

February 18 — House of Stone by Anthony Shadid
March 18 — Broken Verses by Kamila Shamsie
April 1 — Dreams of Trespass: Tales of a Harem Girlhood by Fatima Mernissi
