The shift from old-fashioned paper ballots to electronic voting has raised concerns over whether elections results can be manipulated. Are our votes still safe? Members of the Kansas City Board of Election Commissioners provide a behind-the-scenes look at how votes are kept safe and confidential. Demonstrations will illustrate the differences between touch screen and paper ballot machines and the safeguards of each that keep votes secure. This is one of a series of public forums on elections presented by the KCEB and the Library this spring and summer.
