Regarded as Kansas City’s first skyscraper and its first building equipped with elevators, today it serves as the Catholic Center for the Catholic Diocese of Kansas City-St. Joseph. The 2015 Kansas City Architecture Series examines how historic buildings in Kansas City’s downtown area have been repurposed and given new life.
