News Flash! Photographs from the Kansas City Journal-Post Newspaper
The Missouri Valley Special Collections has installed a new exhibit featuring dozens of photographs published by the Kansas City Journal-Post between 1928-1942.
The Journal-Post engaged readers with a lively blend of journalism that included screaming headlines and tabloid-style news stories. Perhaps most memorable was the publication’s emphasis on photography, capturing images of public figures, celebrities, crime scenes, sporting events, and other subjects of interest.
The exhibit is on display on the fifth floor of Central Library.
