Nosotras: Portraits of Latinas
Nosotras: Portraits of Latinas, a collection of 50 photographs documenting the lives and culture of Latina immigrants in the United States, is on display.
Nosotras, Spanish for the feminine "us" or "we," was organized by Virginia Dodier, a photography historian and a Mexican-American born on the border and raised in the American West. She, like many other Hispanic women and girls, has experienced the feeling of living in two worlds.
The exhibit features the work of six photographers. Dodier says she hopes the exhibit presents positive images of women’s lives "between here and the homeland."
