Scoring Social Security
All Library locations will be closed on Sunday, April 20, in observance of the Easter holiday.
For most Americans, social security will be a significant part of their retirement income. The decision on when and how to receive this benefit can mean the difference of tens of thousands of dollars in lifetime benefits. Should you take your benefit at 62? Can you continue to work and receive benefits? Can you receive spousal and earned benefits both?
David Jackson, a Certified Financial Planner and member of the Financial Planning Association of Greater Kansas City, will discuss these and other options in a presentation in the Cohen Conference Center at the Plaza Library. Understanding these choices will help future retirees achieve their long-term financial goals.
Admission is FREE. Free parking is available in the parking garage south of the building.
