Second Sundays with KC Columnists: Lewis W. Diuguid

Kansas City Star columnist and Vice President for Community Resources Lewis W. Diuguid gives the December talk in the Library’s Second Sundays with KC Columnists series on Sunday, December 14, at 2 p.m. at the Plaza Branch, 4801 Main St.

Diuguid serves on the editorial board for The Star, is an opinion page columnist and is responsible for the paper’s philanthropic efforts in the community. He has co-chaired the diversity initiative at The Star since 1993.

Diuguid joined the staff of The Kansas City Star-Times in May 1977 after graduating from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Journalism. He has worked as a reporter, photographer, copy editor, automotive editor, bureau chief, assistant city editor, associate editor, and columnist. He has written a column for The Star since 1987.

The 2008-09 Second Sundays with KC Columnists series features talks by some of Kansas City’s favorite newspaper columnists.

Presenters discuss some of their favorite columns, share previously untold stories from their years in the newspaper business, and answer audience questions.
