Westport Historical Society monthly Speaker Series: Freedom Seekers: Stories from the Western Underground Railroad

Kansas City filmmaker, Gary Jenkins, will show clips from his latest film, Freedom Seekers: Stories from the Western Underground Railroad. Mr. Jenkins will enlighten and entertain with little known stories of exciting journeys north along the Underground Railroad from Missouri to Kansas through Nebraska and into Iowa. The audience will see actual sites that still exist today and newly acquired footage from the ruins at Quindaro. Time is allowed for audience questions.
This presentation will last about 1 hour.
