Title of Talk: "Price's Raid, Then and Now"

Summary: This talk takes a fresh look at the last great campaign of the Civil War in the West, and you're invited to join the discussion about how to remember it today. Diane Eickhoff and Aaron Barnhart give an entertaining presentation that reviews the events leading up to Price's Raid, looks at the key role of Gens. Sterling Price, Thomas Ewing, and Jo Shelby; the part that pro-Southern guerrillas did (and didn't) play; and the accident of history that has kept many people from remembering the Battle of Westport today.
