The Westport Historical Society Speaker Series seeks to promote and foster public interest in and preserve the significance of local history. Title of Talk: The Threat on Kaw Point (Kansas City) to the Lewis and Clark Expedition Speaker: Dan Sturdevant Join us at the Westport Branch Library on Saturday February 14th for the first of this year's Historical Society Speaker series. Dan Sturdevant will discuss the site of Kaw Point, the confluence of the Kansas and Missouri Rivers, parts of the Lewis and Clark expedition, and give brief history of Kaw Point and the American Indians. Second Saturday Speaker Series, February 14th @ 2:00pm Westport Branch Library, 118 Westport Road Speaker's Reception follows at the Harris Kearney House, 40th & Baltimore
