An aging British barrister (Charles Laughton) defends a playboy (Tyrone Power) from a murder charge, and gets unexpected help from the prosecution’s prize witness (Marlene Dietrich). Billy Wilder directs and adapts Agatha Christie’s hit stage play.

In honor of its new event series on the Supreme Court and former Justice Sandra Day O’Connor's appearance, the Kansas City Public Library is offering Order in the Court!, a series of courtroom movies. The films screen on Saturdays at 1:30 p.m. throughout June 2013 in the Stanley H. Durwood Film Vault at the Central Library, 14 W. 10th St. Admission is free.
