This group meets every fourth Tuesday of the month at the Mt. Washington Senior Apartments, located at 570 S. Evanston in Independence, Mo. Books provided by the Sugar Creek branch of the Kansas City Public Library, with discussions moderated by Mary Roberson.
Explore the world of modern Tabletop Gaming! It's not just Monopoly anymore! The games are bigger, better and weirder! Come for fun, to meet new people and to face challenges that will test your problem solving and teamwork skills. Open 6th-12th graders. Games include Ticket to Ride, Betrayal at House on the Hill, Forbidden Island, Love Letter, Mysterium, King of Tokyo, and more!
Punch and kick you way to good health. Fitness champion Nicki Jones will lead you through 10 to 12 rounds of punches, kicks, and cardio exercise that will leave you feeling invigorated and powerful.
Join us every Tuesday at 7 pm on the Children's floor for stories, crafts and a lot of imagination. 7-15 year old Graphic novel fans enjoy meeting up with each other to talk about books as well as get first hand illustrative instruction on how to create, design and illustrate your own comics. Parking is Free!
Don't worry about the weather. Come walk a mile in the comfort of air conditioning. Participants will follow Leslie Sansone DVDs to start their weight loss journey with a gentle paced 1 mile beginner walk program. Participants will increase their heart rate with low impact moves.
Get help on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1-3 p.m. at Waldo Branch.
