This group meets every fourth Tuesday of the month at the Mt. Washington Senior Apartments, located at 570 S. Evanston in Independence, Mo. Books provided by the Sugar Creek branch of the Kansas City Public Library, with discussions moderated by Mary Roberson.

Are you a teenager who loves to read and has questions about sex, relationships, your body, and more? Come join us for a new book group, Sex Talk and Books starting in January at the Plaza Library. This session we are reading “Boy Meets Boy” by David Levithan. This book is about teens who have crushes, lose and gain important friendships, and who are brave enough to stand up for what they care about. This group will meet bi-weekly for eight weeks to discuss the interesting lives of these characters and to learn more about sexuality and the many complex relationships we have in our lives. Each participant will receive a free book and journal. Dinner and snacks will be provided.

Volunteers now available to help you practice:
• Speaking English (eligibility interview based on N-400 form)
• Reading English (correctly read one out of three Naturalization Test sentences)
• Writing English (correctly write one out of three Naturalization Test sentences)
• 100 Civics Questions (correctly answer six out of ten randomly chosen USCIS questions)
• And so much more!

Don't worry about the weather. Come walk a mile in the comfort of air conditioning. Participants will follow Leslie Sansone DVDs to start their weight loss journey with a gentle paced 1 mile beginner walk program. Participants will increase their heart rate with low impact moves.

Learn what your internet browser can do for you! This class concentrates on the basics of email and navigating the web.
