Get fit fast with America s #1 walking system! Leslie Sansone's 2 Mile Brisk Walk-30 Minutes
This is an extension of the Walk On 1 class. Participants will follow Leslie's DVD in a 2 mile walking workout that builds strength, endurance and flexibility, while boosting energy levels and super-charging your upper and lower body. This class is free and open to the public.

You can start on the road to better health with Stay Strong-Stay Healthy, an eight week strength training program offered by MU Extension. The evidence-based program is a series of simple, strength-building exercises that will improve balance, health and state of mind. It's not strenuous weight lifting, rather, everyone starts at a level that is right for them. No one is too inactive to participate. In fact, strength-building activities promote quality of life and independence, especially for adults over age 60.

Tara Raghuveer, Nick Haines

Social activist Tara Raghuveer presents troubling findings about the frequency of eviction in the Kansas City area – an average of 42 cases per business day from 1999 to 2016, with African-Americans disproportionately affected – and then joins a panel discussion of the issue. Nick Haines of KCPT-Kansas City PBS moderates.
