Bring your child to the Library for stories and songs for the preschool set (ages 3-5), followed by a craft in the Art Spot.

This story time and play group promotes literacy in children with the participation of caring family members.

It's never too early to introduce children to great stories. Children ages 18-36 months, and their caregivers, can enjoy stories, songs, finger plays, and crafts.

Bring your Yu-Gi-Oh! and Magic the Gathering decks and challenge our champion deck builders. We play and trade cards every Friday night in the teen area. Discover new card games like Werewolf, Vampire TES (White Wolf) and Munchkin while you're here!

Get your game on every Friday night from 6-8 pm at the Plaza Branch. We have several different consoles and dozens of games to choose from.

Ages 12-17

Jumpstart Kansas City presents the 7th annual Jumpstart Reading Rocks event! Children (preschool age to early elementary) will have an opportunity to participate in a variety of arts, crafts, and games. Join us and special guests Brother Bear and Sister Bear, of the Berenstain Bears, at the Plaza Library on Saturday, March 20th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

This bi-weekly class at Sugar Creek offers many options for all levels of quilters. Bring a project, start a project, or come to learn something new. Class is every other Saturday at the Sugar Creek Library.

Get your game on at the Waldo Community Branch. The library has both Wii and PS2 available with Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Wii Sports and Guitar Hero as well as plenty of board games. You may also bring your own games to share.

The AARP Tax-Aid program provides free tax preparation and assistance services to low and middle-income taxpayers with special attention to those ages 60 and older. Volunteer tax preparers will assist people from 9 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Call 816-701-3486 for your reservation.
