Bring your child to the Library for stories and songs for the preschool set (ages 3-5), followed by a craft in the Art Spot.
This story time group promotes literacy in children with the participation of caring family members.
It's never too early to introduce children to great stories. Children ages 18-36 months, and their caregivers, can enjoy stories, songs, finger plays, and crafts.
Bring your Yu-Gi-Oh! and Magic the Gathering decks and challenge our champion deck builders. We play and trade cards every Friday night in the teen area.
Teens Only!!! This after-hours program will provide snacks, games, and computer access. Come help us test out our new Nintendo Wii!
*Event is for Teens ages 12-18. No in and out privileges will be granted. If you attend the event and leave at any time, you will not be able to return.*

September is National Honey Month, so of course, we have to celebrate! We will read sweet books and have one honey of a craft.
On the first Saturday of every month this summer in the City Market, 400 Grand St., Kansas City, MO, the Friends of the Library will hold a series of book sales on the North Walkway next to the Steamboat Arabia. Book sales will continue through October.
The books range in price from $0.50 to $5.00 and cover many genres.

Join us for a Grrrreat Reading time with your furry four footed friends. Delta Society Registered Animal Assistance Therapy Dogs will help you practice your reading skills. Curl up and relax with Hero, "The Sofa Dog" and your favorite book.
