The newest exhibition of the Orval Hixon Gallery, New Compositions: The Dance Portraiture of Orval Hixon, is on display from June 11, 2011 through 2013 at the Central Library, 14 W. 10th St. The exhibit features a rich selection of Hixon’s portraits, including images of some of the best-known dancers of his time.

Part Six: Zombies Attack!
Using colored felt, soft circuits and various materials we will perpetrate a zombie apocalypse inside our new Kansas City Nightscape, all in anticipation of the nation wide zombie teen lockin on Aug 3rd. This adds the final layer to the Cityscape.
Be a permanent part of Plaza's Cityscape! Help design and build the unique art instillation that will stay with the library for years to come. Learn about this collaborative art project through six workshops where soft circuits and creative lighting will form a beautiful nightscape of Kansas City.
