Teens will learn how to choose healthy foods and prepare healthy meals! Students will learn about the USDA MyPlate and the five food groups through fun games and activities. Students will learn the basics of cooking by preparing yummy recipes of healthy meals and snacks. Upon completion of the course, students will receive a graduation certificate and their very own Kids in the Kitchen cookbook!

Limited to 15 participants.

Teen readers discusses William Shakespeare with a twist in the manga version of Romeo and Juliet. Shakespeare's classic tragedy has teenage heroes, scheming and villainous adults, heartbreaking tragedy, and the ultimate romantic plot about star-crossed lovers. Graphic Fiction Readers is a book group for teens that meets on the third Tuesday of each month at the Trails West branch. Copies of the selection are available for checkout at the branch library.
