Visit a small part of the Kansas City Zoo at the Library! Designed to reach all ages, our Zoo Educators will share information about the animal kingdom and the Zoo in an effort to create a positive connection between your audience and wildlife. Presented with three animal ambassadors and touchable animal artifacts, audience members will get an up close opportunity to experience animals in new and memorable ways.

Join librarian and naturalist Clare Hollander for a 4 week series of story times centered on the Laura McPhee exhibit "River of No Return" at the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art, 4420 Warwick Blvd Kansas City, MO 64111.

Learn to sew by hand and by machine. Four projects are available; Pin cushin, Book Bag, Apron, and cat pillow. Sign up is required, with a maximum of 14 teens per class. Call the Plaza branch at 816-701-3481.

Join us for our monthly book club meeting and bring any book that you have read recently! We have free snacks, and copies of the current month’s book are available at the desk.

Afternoon Arts and Crafts with Wolfgang Bucher of the Mosaic Brain. Every Tuesday in April, May and June. Kids ages 5-10.

Families who can't make it to the Library during the day can enjoy this evening storytime. We will read great books, sing songs, and have a fun craft.
