In the Midnight Library, a little librarian helps all the animals find the perfect book. The library is always peaceful and quiet until one night when some squirrels, a wolf, and a tortoise stir up a little trouble.
Luckily, the little librarian knows just how to turn a little trouble into a lot of fun.

Teens will learn how to choose healthy foods and prepare healthy meals! Students will learn about the USDA MyPlate and the five food groups through fun games and activities. Students will learn the basics of cooking by preparing yummy recipes of healthy meals and snacks. Upon completion of the course, students will receive a graduation certificate and their very own Kids in the Kitchen cookbook!

Limited to 15 participants.

Looking to volunteer at your library? Stop by and find out the many ways you can participate to gain the volunteer hours you might need to graduate. We'll collaborate together to plan teen events at the library. Meetings are approximately 1 hour 15 min in length. In September we'll continue developing our plans for the haunted maze as well as our project designs for the Halloween parade in Independence.
