Authors Dav Pilkey and Dan Santat introduce young readers to the newly re-illustrated Ricky Ricotta’s Mighty Robot book series – written by Pilkey and drawn by Santat.

Pilkey is the man behind the popular Captain Underpants and Super Diaper Baby series of children’s books. Santat, an award-winning author and illustrator, created the animated Disney Channel series The Replacements.

Books purchased during the event will be available for signing after the presentation.

Paseo Academy is a signature school in the Kansas City Public School District. Students with an interest in fine and performing arts audition for admission.

Oh My Teen discusses Splintered by A.G. Howard. Oh My Teen book group is a program for teens that meets the second Tuesday of every month at the Trails West branch. Copies are available for request or checkout at the branch library.

Compete against other teens on the Wii to duel on Super Smash Brawl, Mario Party, Mario Kart, and other Wii games. We'll also have an Xbox 360 system and board games available for when you're waiting for your turn. All game systems will be simultaneously in play until approximately 6:00 pm.

Teen readers discuss the 2 volume set Boxers and Saints by Gene Luen Yang. Graphic Fiction Readers is a book group for teens that meets on the third Tuesday of each month at the Trails West branch. Copies of the selection are available for checkout at the branch library.
