Bring toddlers ages 18-36 months for a 20 minute storytime, followed by a fun activity in the Art Spot.

Visit a small part of the Kansas City Zoo at the Library! Designed to reach all ages, our Zoo Educators will share information about the animal kingdom and the Zoo in an effort to create a positive connection between the audience and wildlife. Presented with 3 animal ambassadors and touchable animal artifacts, audience members will get an up close opportunity to experience animals in new and memorable ways.

Preschool age kids (3-5) will enjoy stories, songs, and art in this storytime.

The Force will be with you at the Library!

Come dressed as your favorite Star Wars character and channel your inner Darth Vader or Luke Skywalker. Enjoy an evening of crafts (origami and making a Wookie puppet or lightsaber), games, and photo ops with costumed Imperial Stormtroopers from the 501st Legion

Appropriate for all ages.

Curtis’s show includes Magic, Comedy, some Juggling, and Duo the Dove. As for the show itself, it’s one of those rare presentations that is as enjoyable for the adults as it is for the kids - like one of those good kid movies where the kids enjoy the show on one level and the adults on another - only unlike a kid’s movie it’s live and it doesn’t have a chase scene, a bad guy, or a talking donkey.

Afternoon Arts and Crafts with Wolfgang Bucher of the Mosaic Brain. Every Tuesday in April, May and June. Kids ages 5-10.

Families who can't make it to the Library during the day can enjoy this evening storytime. We will read great books, sing songs, and have a fun craft.
