Bring toddlers ages 18-36 months for a 20 minute storytime, followed by a fun activity in the Art Spot.

Come join our After Lunch Book Club to read and discuss great books. We will meet on the second and fourth Thursday of each month at the Sugar Creek Branch Library.

Visit a small part of the Kansas City Zoo at the Library! Designed to reach all ages, our Zoo Educators will share information about the animal kingdom and the Zoo in an effort to create a positive connection between the audience and wildlife. Presented with 3 animal ambassadors and touchable animal artifacts, audience members will get an up close opportunity to experience animals in new and memorable ways.

Games, games and more games! Grab some friends and challenge them to some after-school gaming fun on our XBOX 360 and Wii Systems. We provide some games, but feel free to bring yours to get a battle going with your friends.

Iron-on transfers help you create cool designs for a drawstring backpack to sport at school. Bags will be provided along with transfer paper. You get to choose the design.
Limit: 15 teens.

Teens are invited to have a relaxing and fun time and hang out with their friends. Play board games, Wii, and Dance Dance Revolution. Mark your calendar! Teen Game Day is scheduled on 2nd Thursday of each month.

Preschool age kids (3-5) will enjoy stories, songs, and art in this storytime.

Looking for the perfect card to complete your deck? Stop by the plaza library and trade then stay to put your best deck to the test!

Be creative. Be loud. Be here! The Sugar Creek Library stays open late for Teens only on the first Friday of every month. Come and hang out – play on the computers, watch a movie, or just meet up with friends. Food and noise allowed!

Teens must arrive by 5:30pm to be admitted to the event. No late arrivals are permitted. If you leave event at any time, you will not be allowed to return.

Relax after a long week of school. Watch movies, play games, talk about books, manga video games and help plan library events while having lots of fun.
