Emcee and vocalist Neil McIntyre (aka Mr. Kneeel), comes to town with a blend of hip-hop and beatboxing that’s both inspiring and fun.

McIntyre’s music is high energy and engaging and never insults a child’s intelligence. This is hip-hop that focuses on who kids are and what they enjoy.

Learn Skills. Be Awesome.
DIY is the best way for kids to learn new skills, meet others who share the same passions, and generally be awesome. We'll be using DIY in the library to explore new subjects while practicing skills. Kids can browse thousands of projects, try them and keep a portfolio of what they make and do.

Go to diy.org and sign up with your kid!

Be sure to bring your little one for fun activities and playtime! This playgroup offers a chance to develop early literacy skills for children ages three months to five years old. Stop by anytime between 10:30-11:30am.

Various activities will be stationed around the room, allowing you to move at your child’s pace. We’ll incorporate The Every Child Ready to Read initiative’s five key areas of early reading skills that are indicators of future reading success: talking, singing, reading, writing, and playing.
