Improvisational comedy troupe TANTRUM is Making a Scene with its unique style of long-form improv performance on Wednesday, November 12, at 7 p.m. at the Plaza Branch, 4801 Main St.

Taking audience suggestions, TANTRUM spins impromptu stories that generate a succession of spontaneous scenes aimed at giving patrons fits (of laughter). Every performance is different, because everything is improvised – and anything can happen.

The Kansas City Public Library and Metro Sports partner for the theatrical premieres of two feature-length documentaries in November 2008 in the Truman Forum at the Plaza Branch, 4801 Main St.

The premiere of CityBall, a documentary depicting a year in the life of student athletes in the Kansas City (Missouri) School District, is set for Thursday, November 6, at 6:30 p.m.

The Kansas City Public Library and Metro Sports partner for the theatrical premieres of two feature-length documentaries in November 2008 in the Truman Forum at the Plaza Branch, 4801 Main St.

Fans of local sports and history will be treated to the premiere of Border War on Monday, November 3, at 6:30 p.m. The documentary, produced by Metro Sports and scheduled to begin showing on the network on November 26, examines the history of the athletic rivalry between the University of Missouri and the University of Kansas.
