Miriam Pepper has led The Kansas City Star’s Opinion pages in print and online for the last 10 years. She has also served as The Star’s Readers’ Representative as well as a business columnist, political reporter, special projects reporter, City Hall bureau chief, and Missouri Legislative correspondent. She has also worked for the Associated Press and The St. Louis Post-Dispatch. She is secretary-treasurer of the National Conference of Editorial Writers, president of the Kansas City Press Club Foundation, and a two-time Pulitzer juror. She is married and the mother of two adult children.
