Steve Sitton grew up in south Kansas City, graduating from Ruskin High School. He earned his bachelor’s degree in history from Drury College in Springfield, Missouri, in 1990. He has worked for the Missouri Division of State Parks since 1994, starting out as the tourist assistant for Deutschheim State Historic Site in Hermann. He became the site administrator of Deutschheim in 2000, and then transferred to the Thomas Hart Benton Home and Studio State Historic Site in 2001.
SYNOPSIS: Amid the schoolmaster’s tedious annual exhibition of student learning, Tom and his fellow students execute a prank that is far more entertaining than amateur oratory.
