Jeffrey Bentley was appointed executive director of Kansas City Ballet in 1998. He has been involved in dance and theater for more than 30 years as a performer, administrator, festival director, dance presenter, teacher, and consultant. He studied at the American Ballet Center and the School of American Ballet before enlisting in the U.S. Army in 1967. He served in leadership positions at many fine arts agencies – including the Royal Winnipeg Ballet and the New Orleans Ballet Association – before coming to Kansas City.
SYNOPSIS: Following his fence-painting success, Tom meets up with Ben Harper to play at being generals – and Tom leads his army to victory. During the homeward march, Tom first spies Becky Thatcher and becomes love-struck, thus relegating poor Amy Lawrence to literary also-ran status.
