A Cultural Celebration Of Kansas City's Bhutanese Community

Experience the smells, tastes, and sounds of Kansas City's Bhutanese community with A Cultural Celebration of Bhutan on Sunday, September 15, 2013, at 2 p.m. at the North-East Branch, 6000 Wilson Road.
Located in the Eastern Himalayas, Bhutan in 2006 was rated the happiest country in Asia and the eighth-happiest in the world based on a global survey by BusinessWeek magazine.

This afternoon event features poetry, music, dance, visual art, and food. It is presented by the Vox Narro project, which pairs writers with immigrant communities to give voice to the voiceless.

Vox Narro is supported by the Rocket Grants program, which is funded by the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts and administered by the Charlotte Street Foundation and the Spencer Museum of Art to support innovative, public-oriented work in nontraditional spaces.
Admission is freeRSVP at kclibrary.org or call 816.701.3407.
