Friday Night Family Fun hosts Pint Size Polkas on Friday, June 29, 2012, at 6:30 p.m. at the Kansas City Public Library's Plaza Branch, 4801 Main St.
Milwaukee accordionist/singer Mike Schneider brings old-time sounds to the younger set with Pint Size Polkas.
Schneider began performing professionally in 1996. In 2008 at his wife's suggestion, he began his Pint Size Polkas venture as Uncle Mike with the release of his groundbreaking Pint Size Polkas Volume One CD. Since that time, he has brought a little bit of culture, education, and a whole lot of fun to children and their families across the United States with his Pint Size Polkas program. Uncle Mike educates on concepts like the alphabet, numbers, occupations, personal hygiene, relationships, and foreign language through the happy sounds of polka music.
Schneider's vision is to help children and their families discover the good, clean fun that you will experience with polka music. Songs like The Alphabet Polka, The Numbers Schottische, and Tiny Bubbles in the Tub are sure to create an environment that's both educational and entertaining at the same time, inspiring children to be excited about learning.
Appropriate for audiences Pre-K through 6th grade.
Admission to the event is free. Please call 816.701.3407 or RSVP online.
