The Friday Night Family Fun series at the Kansas City Public Library welcomes back the Kansas City Fine Arts Chorale for a special Halloween themed concert that will feature spooky songs and stories on Friday, October 21, 2011, at 6:30 p.m. at the Plaza Branch, 4801 Main St.
The concert, which is designed for children of all ages, features songs woven together with stories told by well-known local storyteller Priscilla Howe. A former children's librarian, Howe is deeply invested in encouraging kids to read and uses humor to tell stories from books and world folktales.
Celebrating its 38th season, the Chorale is committed to performing works rarely presented by other premiere arts groups, and continues to find and fill an important niche in the Kansas City musical community.
Admission is free. Call 816.701.3407 or RSVP online.
