Guitarist Pedro Navarro Gives Performance At The Kansas City Public Library's Plaza Branch

Sister City Association of Kansas City, Missouri, presents classic guitarist Pedro Navarro on Friday, October 23, at 6:30 p.m. at the Plaza Branch, 4801 Main St.
Born in Castellón de la Plana, Spain, Navarro began studying guitar at age 6 as part of the Sociedad Artística Nulense. Studying with Manuel Babiloni at the Castellón Professional Conservatory of Music, he earned a professional guitar degree when he was 16. He continues his education in Madrid, Seville, Valencia, the Royal College of Music in London, and in the Ecole Normale de Musique in Paris. Navarro was selected by the Spanish Ministry of Culture to travel to Paris where he received a degree as “Superior Concertista” in Paris. As a soloist he has toured across Europe, the Middle East, South America and Asia, mastering every facet of Spanish classical music, flamenco, and jazz.
Navarro has received many honors, including an award for youth at the Francisco Tárrega International Competition as well as an award at Seville’s América Martínez National Competition.
