Kansas City Public Library Patrons Can Now Download Free Tunes Using Freegal Music

Free music.

What's not to like?

The Kansas City Public Library announces the availability of Freegal Music, a downloadable music service that allows users with a valid library card to download three free songs each week.

Patrons can make their choices from more than 3 million tunes, many from Sony Music's catalog of artists (we're talking music from more than 60 countries and 10,000 labels).

Once the tracks are downloaded, they're yours. Keep them in your computer. Burn them on a CD. Put them on your MP3 player or smart phone. Copyright laws apply for all music downloaded.

This marks the first time the library has offered its patrons free downloadable music.

It's easy to get started. Visit the Kansas City Public Library site at kclibrary.org, click on Books & More, then Digital Music. There you will find full instructions to download music to your computer or use Freegal Music ap on your smart phone.
