Kansas City Public Library Screens Films Focused on the Afterlife

The Kansas City Public Library screens a free film series called Beyond This Vale of Tears: Hollywood Visits the Afterlife on Mondays and Saturdays throughout December 2011 in the Stanley H. Durwood Film Vault at the Central Library, 14 W. 10th St.
Hollywood has been all too happy to provide answers (some more serious than others) to the biggest question facing mankind. No filmmaker can claim information from the Great Beyond - but the drama, poetry, and laughter in these films offer impressions of what might lie ahead.
