The Kansas City Star's Steve Paul discusses his new book, Architecture A-Z: An Elemental, Alphabetical Guide to Kansas City's Built Environment, on Tuesday, October 25, 2011, at 6:30 p.m. at Central Library, 14 W. 10th St.
Architecture A-Z began as a Star Magazine feature based on a simple concept: What can we learn and share about Kansas City's history and contemporary scene if we take a simple walk through the alphabet?
The book, a collection of the columns that have appeared as part of the series, contains more than 200 photographs and detailed descriptions of Kansas City's architectural scene.
The event is co-sponsored by Kansas City Star Books.
Admission is free. A 6 p.m. reception precedes the event. RSVP online or call 816.701.3407. Free parking is available at the Library District Parking Garage at 10th & Baltimore.
Major funding for programs at the Kansas City Public Library is provided by a generous grant from the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation.
