Mad Scientist To Concoct Some Friday Night Family Fun

It's a mad, mad, mad, mad world (of science) at the Kansas City Public Library.

Mad Science of Greater Kansas City, now in its 12th year of delivering entertaining science education programming to area children, performs at the Library's Plaza Branch, 4801 Main St., on Friday, June 27, 2014, at 6:30 p.m.

The program - hosted by the Mad Scientist and featuring didgeridoo tubes, foaming hands, and steaming chemical reactions - uses spectacular, energetic science demonstrations to draw youngsters into the world of chemistry. It follows the science-related theme of the Library's Summer Reading Program, which runs through August 2.

The event, recommended for all ages, is free. RSVP at kclibrary.orgor call 816.701.3407.
